Dr. Paul Salinas is a board-certified neurosurgeon and fellowship trained in complex spinal disorders. His primary interest is in degenerative diseases of the spine.  He is a native of Dallas, Texas, who returned to the area after his extensive neurosurgical training in 2009 to start Frisco Spine. Frisco Spine has grown since that time to become a center of multi-specialist practice that encompasses anesthesia pain specialist, neurophysiologist, neuro-radiologist, neuro-anesthesiologist, and out-patient physical therapy all under one roof.

Dr. Paul Salinas has been in practice as a physician since 2000 after graduating from The University of Texas Houston Medical School, followed by a neurosurgery residency at the University of Texas medical branch in Galveston, Texas, completed in 2008. In the same time period he completed a Neuro-Oncology in-folded fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 2005 before heading over to Los Angeles, California for his spine surgery fellowship, which he completed at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Institute for Spinal Disorders in 2009.

His areas of expertise include minimally invasive and complex spinal surgeries for the treatment of degenerative disc disease, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal deformities, and spinal tumors. He also specializes in the treatment of intracranial brain disorders including brain tumors, hydrocephalus, and traumatic brain injuries.

His minimally invasive and microscopic techniques allow for patients to experience a prompt and speedy recovery leading to remarkable outcomes. Dr. Salinas is always focused on providing patients with an accurate diagnosis for their underlying condition and appropriate non-surgical and surgical options for their given symptoms. His treatment alternatives are always oriented towards the most conservative options that can preserve or recoup the patient’s ability to return to work and to resume the patient’s expected lifestyle as soon as possible.

Dr. Salinas has multiple hospital affiliations throughout the Metroplex allowing for inclusive and comprehensive neurosurgical care to his patient’s needs. He is network with most commercial insurance plans and federal insurance plans including Medicare and Tricare.
